Boylan brings the lols

Post by Bill_Billiams »

Everyone's favorite lolcow and amateur blogger, Robert Boylan took offense to someone calling out his bad behavior online, so he made this post and proved his critic right. Life is hard, it's even harder when you aren't self-aware.

I think we ought to accept that Boylan, like other apologists, uses his online opponents as a source of validation. He stokes the drama to generate interest and feel affirmed in his relevance as an apologist.

I agree. Without the drama he would be nothing.

Does this guy have an audience that extends beyond his fellow apologists and critics? Is he reaching anyone that might be influenced by what he posts? But for people talking about him here on this forum, I would have never known he existed.

Good question. I don't know. What I find unfortunate is the big missed opportunity there is for someone with his commitments and claimed skillset to do some real good in educating the LDS community. With this abrasive, caustic, and childish personality, he really turns people off. Honestly, there is simply no good excuse to throw away such an opportunity or botch it so badly.

Just to be clear, are we talking about Boylan or DCP?

Apart from anything else, imagine the intellect required to craft such a sentence. I am awestruck.

This reminds me of DCP's many public personal attacks against Michael Quinn and others.

Even with it he is nothing.
