Interesting article in the Idaho State U. newspaper about comments by the LDS Institute director there concerning LDS women's role in the LDS Church (link below).
Some of the women in the article were upset because in the LDS church only the man can hold the priesthood and preside in the Church. Again, Clarke went back to families. "I don't view the priesthood as the best leadership," he said. "The best leadership is family leadership." He said that a woman's leadership in the family is more superior than a man's.
Huh? Has this guy not read the Proclamation on the Family, which states: "By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families."
"Moving beyond apologist persuasion, LDS polemicists furiously (and often fraudulently) attack any non-traditional view of Mormonism. They don't mince words -- they mince the truth."
