My parents went to the wedding reception for Marie's first marriage. I begged to be taken along---what a snarkfest! Which is exactly why they wouldn't take me. All I got out of them later was a description of the massive Tongan bouncers...

Her life hasn't exactly been a bowl of cherries. And she's put on a great deal of weight in the past few years. Touring has got to be a painful exercise, knowing how small she once was compared to her size now. Not that she's huge, like Kirsty Alley was, but still, she's much larger than she was at the height of her career.

Donny Osmond did improve if you like R&B style music.
What year was this? 1989?

I never liked their music, but I feel empathy for their situation. It's not easy to grow up as a star, and Mormon to boot. I think Donny seems like a genuinely nice person. I've heard "other" stories about Marie, but clearly she has suffered in her life, from sexual abuse (not familial, friend of family), depression, and divorce. I was glad to see her "come back" on dancing with the stars, and even watched a show in her honor.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
