You do realize that, under your paradigm, it would not be possible for someone who really believed in the church to ever lose that belief?

Incorrect. Under my paradigim (and your knowledge of LDS doctrine and its deeper implications here seem now to be about as fetal as Harmony's), or rather, under the Gospel's, it is possible for someone who has either a belief in the Church, or a testimony of the Church, to leave it. The operative mediating principle here is free agency. We can do whatever we want to do here in this life, relative to the Gospel, even if it lacks sanity.

But again, you speak only in terms of belief, (which is by far much easier to gain and lose) and not of testimony. Why is this?

As I said, I would consider homosexual conduct to save many other people from dying horribly in a terrorist attack, but not under any other conditions.

Sorry to disappoint...

You took this entirely the wrong way, Cog. It wasn't meant to be a back door joke. I don't laugh at that kind of humor.

But I can see how (in light of the posts around it you would come to that conclusion).

No, what I meant was that you don't countenance what I would consider a peaceable follower of Christ. You're posts have a tendency toward the abrasive. If you didn't say you were Mormon, no one would ever know it.

I didn't take it wrong. Just cutting up...

(and you think my posts can be abrasive? You should see what happens when I make every attempt to be strictly intellectual and philosophical in tone. Then the Hyenas come out and the debate either ends or I shoot back).

Here, you are either the sand paper or that which gets sanded.

More likely just your resident ass. And his braying makes as much sense as my neighbor's ass does.
