My wife is still active. She takes the kids every sunday, and she is there now as I write this post. Around the living room sits a collection of pictures on the walls, among them is the backward and arrogant piece of press release known as The Proclamation to the World.
A bok of ironic Mormonads, made by the young women is sitting on the floor slowly being destroyed by my 8 month and 2 1/2 year old. On the fridge is my wifes visiting teaching assignments. These items are religious spam, which got me thinking about traditional junk email and Mormon susceptibility to what I call religious spam.
My wife and others who are BIC are very susceptible to this fluff. Someone who does not prescribe to Mormonism passes this spam and does not absorb the thoughts intende to be induced.
As I studied and read what eventually lead me out of the church I discovered that my susceptibility to this bombardment of information went from obligated interest into a disgust of the Proclamation, mormonads, Mormon speech and other Mormon propaganda.

And crawling on the planet's face

Re: religious spam
My daughter in law made us a calendar a couple of years ago for Christmas... all the pictures were of temples. By some coincidence, a glass of water got spilled on it.
Another daughter in law gave me a very nice framed Proclamation. It has never hung on my wall and never will. I have no pictures of prophets or temples, although I do have a lovely picture of Christ, a gold leafing of the holy family, and numerous pictures of my family.
I also have a framed Robert Red Bird of a Kiowa medicine man, but that's another story. :-)

I get lots of religious spam. My house is often frequented by those peddling their brochures. They pile up on my foyer table, at times. I should probably read some....
