So much for humor impairment. Evidently, not everyone can take what they dish out.

And, while I do not view you personally as anything close to a joke (passive-aggressive or otherwise), some of the presumed non-objectively self-percieved things you say do at times make me smile. For that I say...

Thanks, -Wade Englund-

I can take it fine, Wade. I fail to see the logical connection here. Responding in kind to an insult directed at me means I can dish it out and not take it?????

It helps to not give a rat's ass what you think about me. I

Ok, you've got me here. What's a 'presumed non-objectively self-perceived" thing? So if I presume they're non-objective, does that mean they're objective?

I don't claim to have anything approach objective truth on my side (with exceptions, which is why I find polygamy so abhorrent--I take it as objective truth that women deserve their human dignity as much as men); I only claim to recognize b***s***, slipshod reasoning, subjective perceptions, and silly superstition masquerading as objective truth.

I'm not interested in arguing with you. What I said initially was a stab at irony, which you evidently took differently than intended--the breakdown in communication for which I am willing to accept full responsibility. Just think of it as a private joke to me alone.

I've moved on.

Thanks, -Wade Englund-

I would like to sit down and eat a donut or two with Dr. Peterson and Mr. Scratch.

I would too. The trouble, however, is two-fold: DCP says he regards me with "contempt," and he has professed to "despise doughnuts," probably because he has been ridiculed mercilessly over his purported addiction to them.

You follow his every written and published word and borderline stalk him on the Internet to find some misstep of his and if you can't find one you fabricate a nice thread title and throw in flimsy evidence (see this thread's title) and constantly ridicule his academic career. Why would he NOT regard you with contempt? I know I do and I'm only rarely your target.

Come on, now, this just isn't true. I don't recall having ever read any of this Islam-related materials, which pretty much negates your claim that I "constantly ridicule his academic career." Do I comment frequently on his Mopologetic career, however? Yes, I do. As has been stated many times, DCP is the #1 LDS apologist, and therefore, anyone with an interest in Mopologetics---critical or otherwise---would obviously need to pay attention to DCP. To not do so would be like being on the political beat for a newspaper while ignoring the President. I comment on other aspects of Mopologetics as well, of course.

Why would he NOT regard you with contempt? I know I do and I'm only rarely your target.

I sense a spirit of contention in you, Nehor. Repent! Before your hatred overcomes you! Lo, repent Nehor, lest your head be crushed in the latter days!

Scratchy seems just a wee bit over-invested in hanging on DCP's every word. But that's what you have to do if you wish to truly condemn a man for ALL his evils.

one moment, of the well of life to taste-
The stars are setting and the caravan
starts for the dawn of nothing; Oh, make haste!

Oh, I don't think I "hang" on DCP's words any more that The Good Professor "hangs" on the words at RfM, or here, or any number of other Mormon-related criticism. For example, I don't edit and publish multiple journals devoted to smearing and attacking critics, nor have I racked up even a fraction of the posts that he has. (Or that you have, my dear Mr. Plate. I guess you really must know what it means to be "obsessive", eh?)

Exactly! I'm the expert at recognizing the OCD because I experience it, you see. Embrace it, scratchy.

I sense the Dark Side in you. Once you go down the Dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.

Thanks for the warning Uncle Creepy.
