I would contend that I take my religion more seriously then anything else in my life. Some may see this as a sad commentary on my ability to take things seriously. However, I'm pretty sure I've heard God laugh at people taking their devotion to him too seriously. Admittedly one's relationship to God is serious business but so is one's relationship to a spouse, a child, a parent, a sibling, and a friend. If I was as somber with them as some people are to God I think I would be a very lonely person. Instead I try to see the hilarity in our relationship as well. Makes life more fun.
I do think people here take things far too seriously though. I've been accused of being arrogant here (and in real life). It's partially true but I don't think it's as bad a problem as some people think. My problem with rational discussion and debate is I spend more time looking for the punchline then construct and deconstructing arguments. This causes me some problems as I can often laugh at things that no one else seems to 'get' in a humorous sense. Some call me mad because of this but I prefer to think that cosmic humor just runs deeper in me then in most others. Both points of view likely have merit.
There's not a damn Mormon on here worth engaging with...

I find that I can get annoyed but usually I'll make some odd connection or just see the absurdity of it all and bust out laughing.

When I gave up carbonation and switched to water I found my spewing messes easier to clean. I heartily suggest it. :)
