Seems more like the opinions of certain apologists or antiMormons than "Mormonism" which makes the list a strawman. For example, where does "Mormonism" state that the JST excerpts are not used?
I think you're right, so can I ask a question? In certain instances, the church is extraordinarily concerned about clearing up confusion about what it believes. The PR dept. recently rushed a video on to YouTube because the YFZ Ranch publicity might lead some people to think "Mormonism" believes in present-day polygamy.
My question is, BCSpace, why do you think the church makes no effort to clear up the confusion that these "opinions of certain aplogists" is undoubtedly causing in the minds of both members and the public, about what "Mormonism" believes? Why does the church allow(enable) certain apologists to freelance and proffer these contradictory beliefs to the membership, but if a French newspaper links "Mormonism" with polygamy, they pull out all the stops to get the web page taken down?
I don't understand the difference.
