And as long as the sum total is viewed as beneficial by you then I don't see any reason someone would want to make you feel bad about it. It's your life...

From Especially for Youth through repeated lectures while on my mission one would think that masturbation was responsible for hurricanes, murders, and Catholicism. What an unnecessary cross to bear. What a shame that the Mormon church would put that onto people. Something so simple and good made to feel so ugly and bad. God... These people are so confused...
The whole anti-masturbation thing was pretty brutal for me too, especially when I became a Priest. Once I became a Priest, the Bishop would asked me about it about every time we met. There was even a lesson in the Priest Quorum that I happened to be there attending, about how awful a sin masturbation is. It was declared in the Stake that I grew up in, that you would have to go over three months without ever masturbating before you could get to turn in your papers for your Mission called. The LDS Church has been very way too obsessed with the subject and topic of masturbation. I loved, and I totally agree with what KA Stated about the LDS Church obsession about this, in another thread here. Here it is:
I find it disturbing that there is a supposed "church average" statistic on masturbation! Good grief, who's business is it anyway? It's appalling that anyone is asked such personal questions and it's sad that young men and women feel compelled to answer. What kind of church questions congregants about such matters? It's nothing less than creepy.
