Loose or Tight? (TWSS)

Post by _GoodK »

I want to know what the official church position is on the translation process. Since the church virtually has no "official" position on anything (except gay marriage), what is the official Mopologetic position?

It seems like most chapel Mormon's believe it is a tight translation, while most internet Mormon's claim it is a loose translation or "we just don't know."

Is there an official position? A common consensus?

I prefer loose. I hate it when clothing limits circulation.

Most Apologists are of the loose-tight translation school of though. Depending on what they are trying to explain, they will switch back and forth between the two. It’s a strange and confusing world where there are two Cumorah’s, horses are tapirs, “others” are there, but never spoken of.

I prefer tight.

Wait! What are we talking about?
when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie
