Ray,
In this meeting with the Piede chiefs (actually it was Hamblin, not Young, who met with them) BY asked for their help in the "war" against the United States government, or they "will kill us both". Eliason uses the words "strongly hints" and "seems", but I see no direct inference that Young was directly involved.

BY sent Hamblin a letter outling such but on or about Sept 1, BY did meet with about ten indians who had traveled from the South w/ Hamblin and Smith.
God has the right to create and to destroy, to make like and to kill. He can delegate this authority if he wishes to. I know that can be scary. Deal with it.

I'm the oldest of 7, do I match my profile?

I have a half-brother, ten years older than I am, with whom I'm quite close.

I've read some on the subject of Birth order. When there is a difference of at least ten years, the younger child often exhibits "first child" tendencies. I have that situation with mine--two older children and one younger--with 10 years difference. In some ways, it's accurate of my youngest as a "first born" type.

I don't know how much stock to put in Birth order, but it's an interesting theory.
