Does God/Jesus tell Tommy about the impending storms and to ready the PR machine, or do they rely on the man made technology from the national weather service?
Gustav is by no means the first hurricane the Church has responded to. OH NO HO HO!! For instance, the Church provided 200 semi-truck loads of aid and 42,000 man-days of labor in response to Hurricane Katrina. The Church humanitarian aid system is experienced and well equipped to respond to a variety of disasters, including hurricanes.
... our church isn't true, but we have to keep up appearances so we don't get shunned by our friends and family, fired from our jobs, kicked out of our homes, ... Please don't tell on me. ~maklelan
I saw Jospeh SMith in God's hair ...and so the lighting struck twice...maybe now I saw a Flood comming so now we can built a Ark....with the biggest budget ever for a comedy movie and have it flop at the Box Office...then we could live in Fema traliers with God and Jesus and Joseph Smith....
Now they will have old Anti depressants..so they can be mor depressed about being depressed..Now you know they won't send whiskey or water...
God has left the building and is staying at Motel 8
One moment in annihilation's waste, one moment, of the well of life to taste- The stars are setting and the caravan starts for the dawn of nothing; Oh, make haste! -Omar Khayaam
The Number One board idiot even finds a way to criticize the LDS Church for helping out. Course the Church never does anything charitable. These spear head units are often among the first response to any natural disaster. But the Church only does it for PR.

What a dumb ass you have become Porter.
For harmony's sake, I agree completely. An exceptionally excellent post, jam packed with truth.
