Of those who use the "ignore" feature, the great majority enjoy it. Nobody has found it not to their liking.

Of those who don't use the "ignore" feature, the overwhelming majority haven't noticed much change since its inception, with others more or less evenly split between having a better vs. worse experience.

My disabling or continuation of the ignore feature was contingent on the results of this poll. Based on the results, the feature will remain active.

Yeah, it doesn't hurt anything at all. For those who think it does something to interfere with discussion, that's just not so.

I ignore many posters who reply to my posts and always have. I simply choose to place a few on "ignore" to cut down on the static while reading.

He is (I'm sorry I am not so macho/phallocrat* but he has mane) a british one. When I reach 1000, he will be replaced to a famous hungarian one.

* Robert Merle: Les hommes protégés (1974) - Published in US as The Virility Factor (1977)
The original title is Protected Men which is hundred times better than the US version ...
If you want an interesting story about women taking over the world (USA) here is a chance, the book is very intensive, descriptive and incredibly realistic.

It is worth to read.
