The very fact that Meldrum believes that, in pinpointing the Book of Mormon geography he can then prove to the world the truth of the Church and that this would somehow force much of the earth's population to convert out of the sheer weight of logical or self evident arguments to the point indicates a certain unhingedness on his part that I'm quite uncomfortable with, not to mention that Meldrum seems deeply confused regarding some fundamental Gospel teachings.

He's doing his best to follow the prophets and you're calling him unhinged. Interesting.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Where did he anoint himself, and when, Droopy?

Meldrum's evolution position is yet another indication. The Church has no official position on the issue, and never has, yet Meldrum detects one, or a reasonable facsimile of one. Meldrum then, receiving, no doubt, revelation closed to the Brethren, proposes the true answer to these perplexing questions.

I wonder if at some future point we'll find out that, at the end of the day, this was really nothing more than an ego and money trip for this guy. Perhaps he wants to be the Mormon Hal Lindsay.

I'm taking bets on how long it will take this guy to delve into UFO's Atlantis, and the hollow earth.
Nothing is going to startle us more when we pass through the veil to the other side than to realize how well we know our Father [in Heaven] and how familiar his face is to us

You actually just sound frightened of him. What is with that?

He is just like so many other Mormons, Droopy. Like many in your own ward, no doubt, assuming you are in a ward.

He has a lot of similar views to Prophets and Apostles. He is not that far off?

Oh, where did he anoint himself again? and when?
