I'm with Scottie.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Just so there isn't any further confusion, I was the one who contacted Shades privately and suggested he de-mod me and I'm the one who dealt with the situation privately on both ends. There's just nothing to complain about in terms of how Shades dealt with the situation with which he was presented.
Best.

Thanks, cksalmon, for clarifying that.

If that person made comments toward the argument, then they will have to repost it without the attacks.
Maybe if they find themselves reposting things, they will understand that it is really not worth it to post personal attacks.
Also, if the whole post is moved, then nothing is truly censored.
Just my two cents.
I thought about this approach as well, and it seemed like overkill. 98% of our posters refrain from personal attacks most of the time. All of us get caught up in emotions occasionally and throw out a personal attack, which we will clean up.
I had to edit fewer and fewer posts as the experiment progressed.

Dr. Shades wrote:Anyhow, here's another topic I wonder if y'all won't consider: The new moderators decided to delete personal attacks entirely within the post itself. Would it have been better to leave all personal attacks intact, and instead move the entire post to the Telestial Forum?
The above would be my preference. When a poster who engages in personal attacks or is foul mouthed gets tired of their posts going to the telestial forum, they may get their act together. I'm not wild about the new moderation posts.

Re: The Great Moderatorial Experiment, PART THREE: The aftermath
I think the Great Moderatorial Experiment, and certain recent goings-on afterward, has taught us what needs to change and what doesn't need to change. The pendulum may have swung a little too far in the other direction, but I think it's now back in its closest-to-perfect place. See:
UPDATE ON MODERATORIAL POLICY
With that, although many of the lessons learned therefrom will remain in force (as outlined in the above link), I hereby declare the Great Moderatorial Experiment to be over. Thanks to everyone who participated.
