I'm still learning things new on these boards which is great, and I am finding that they are a catalyst to developing my own study interests...

I'd like to second that statement. Theres always great thoughts and perceptions expressed on these boards that causes one to hit the books.

Wow, many of you have already celebrated your tenth anniversary at this stuff and Harmony even started in the early 90's.

I never met the net till 1995. While I enjoyed it, I had zero interest in anything religious till 2003 when I joined Beliefnet. Didn't start posting till 2004.

I imagine by 2017 many of you will be celebrating or close to your twentieth anniversary. Think how many years those still in their twenties will be at this. I imagine the medium will continually change and maybe ten years from now we can routinely see each other kvetching in real time.

What an exciting alternative lifestyle this is. Getting to read Loran's thoughts from God's Wrath, Georgia or what Ray has to say from Down Under, Roger from the frozen recesses of Canada and Ludwig from behind the former Iron Curtin. Dr. Peterson is liable to post from all over the globe in his professorial/ambassadorial duties.

Even though I had been a "new order Mormon" for several years, it wasn't until 2005 that it even occurred to me to look up Mormonism online. I randomly googled Mormon and mason and quickly ended up at FAIR, then eventually here. I have read and posted a little at RfM and other sites, but mostly it has been FAIR and Shade's board.

We have practically grown up together! LOL!

I'm thinking I discovered ZLMB about ten years ago... I remember the day! I had never read a message board in my life, and posted within the hour after having a really significant dream the previous night.

Of course I got called a liar by Pahoran, and a troll by other apologists which completely stunned me as I had hoped for some help, still I discovered there were others who struggled with LDS belief as did I.

So, how long have you been around?

Hi Truth dancer,

I have now been around on several different Mormon Related Message Boards for many Years.

Here is an old Post of mine, which is still on the Zion Lighthouse Message Board, From July 18, 2002:

I am so glad that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints instead of a Fundament Evangelical. It is because of the Fundament Evangelical belief in only two places that you go to after you die that they are force to conclude from the Scriptural Passage of Matthew 7:13-14, that God will send the majority of the human race to burn and suffer and in hell forever and ever. However, this is Not a God of Love that will do this. The New Testament Proclaims that God so loved the world (See John 3:16) and that God is Love (See 1 John 4:8, & 16). Thank goodness that I understand the Scriptural Passage of Matthew 7:13-14 to mean that when Jesus says that only few will enter into life that Jesus meant that only few will enter into the celestial glory to receive eternal life. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints understand that there are a total of four places you go to in the next life. There are three other places people will go to besides that celestial glory in the next life. These three other places are the Terrestrial Glory, the Telestial Glory, and Outer Darkness. These other three places will make up the majority of the people that have lived on this planet. However only those who go to outer darkness will suffer in hell forever and ever. It will only be a very, very few of the people who ever lived on this planet that will go to outer darkness. The doctrine of four places you go after you die makes the statement of Jesus in Matthew 7:13-14 clearer and easier to understand in its context.
