So you are 'talking out your ass'?

A Mormon homosexual? A fool with a fetish for young missionary boys? What are you really? So far you look like a sicko.

I am not Schryver, I am actually the person whom Doctor Scratch thinks is his informant. The truth, however, is that my information comes out of my ass, and has no merit. I've been a double agent this whole time, and gullible Scratch, whom you all worship, fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You're William Schryver. Like it or not, you're him.

prove it, surely you can display proof of communications between the two of you since you are after all his informant.

That little wiggle worm can't prove a things and won't be back. Let him paste one of Dr. Scratch's private emails if he dare.

Going once.

Going twice.

He's gone.

Thank you for these tidbits in the ongoing drama, As the MI Turns.

Not meaning to divert attention in this thread from your three points of new intel, but I am left with a question. There might be a resounding "thud" heard throughout the world of Mormon apologia and critics when Mr. Schryver unveils his attempt to salvage the Book of Abraham and it fails to take flight. Do you think such a failure by Mr. Schryver would hasten the de-canonization of the Book of Abraham, whether that takes place bit by bit beginning with the facsimiles or all at once?

Regards,

Spider.

I'm not sure how earth-shattering Scratch's information is, since William mentioned several weeks ago that he himself was surprised to be speaking at the FAIR conference since he had been invited without anyone at FAIR having been able to review the things he would be talking about. I can't remember if it was on this board or the MAD board where he said it. But he did say the invitation to speak had come "sight unseen," or something like that. I think he was invited on the basis of the recommendations of other people who are aware of his work on the Book of Abraham and KEP.

As for the expected "thud heard throughout the world of Mormon apologia," I wouldn't start counting your thuds too quickly. I had the chance over the weekend to view a video production of William's presentation. I found it very impressive and expect it to produce quite a stir "throughout the world of Mormon apologia and critics."

I'll bet it's theatrically impressive, at least.

Doctor Scratch wrote:1) Schryver's project was approved in spite of the fact that he did not submit an abstract. According to my informant, *no one* save one BYU professor knows what Schryver will be talking about. If true, this would represent an extraordinary deviation from academic protocol. It would show how thoroughly the apologists have rested their hopes of salvaging the Book of Abraham on Schryver.

Who is the BYU professor?

2) The invitation for Schryver to participate was made while DCP was out of the country. Per the allegations, Dr. Peterson was livid that he was not consulted first.

Livid? Hmmmm. Somehow "livid" seems like an exaggeration.

3) Rumors are swirling that DCP personally made an effort to have Schryver removed from the FAIR Conference program, apparently under the rationale that it would be better to suffer embarrassment over the Book of Abraham than to have Will submit an inept and underwhelming presentation.

Oh, c'mon! What fun would that be? Let Will speak! He knows all kinds of stuff... most of it not fit for public consumption but still....! What I want to know is... Will Scott report on Will?

Mr. dblagent007,

Schryver seems to be Nomad's puppetmaster, in the event he has not owned up to it. In just one post three weeks before the big FAIR presentation, he (a) is trying to reduce expectations from earthshattering that he's been nattering on about now for a few years and to be 'surprised' to be asked by FAIR to speak, (b) claims to have seen the visual for the presentation this past weekend, and (c) is tooting his own horn a bit about being asked to speak "sight unseen" and the visual is "very impressive". Sounds incredibly similar to what one would expect of Will at this point in time.

Spider.
