I used to believe all this stuff. I feel embarrassed by my gullibility.

I look forward to the day I can make an offer on a home the church is selling there. When they reject my offer my discrimination lawsuit will finally get me my tithing money back.

That's funny. The irony is so many TBMs make fun of Harold Camping and his followers for predicting the second coming, yet these same TBMs are also prepared to travel to Adam-Ondi Amen or Jackson County or wherever the church calls them in preparation for the second coming, and that call could come at any time.

That story was proof that that kind of thing doesn't work to satisfy anyone except Elijah who got in some good heckling.

That story is proof that some people will believe anything if it's written in the scriptures. It never happened.

Anyone know of a pagan religion or Christian sect where they believe getting 500 priests together cutting themselves will make a fire start? I'd like to recreate it. I'll be Elijah. :)

My Dad then said that he would retire there if the church called him to move. I said that he better hope there are a lot of golf courses in Adam Ondi Ahmen.

There will be golf courses and at least one or more Hill Cumorahs serving as the top of the driving range. Included will be gondola rides for senior players. Adam Ondi Ahmen needs to turn a profit or else it will go the way of Beneficial Life and the Deseret News.
