Predicting the demise of MDD

Post by _stemelbow »

Nemesis:

Anyways these stats are not for the members of shades boards who have been predicting this boards demise since 2006.

Really? I know I see something similar to that now, but has anyone here been predicting this for years? Kevin maybe?

The hilarious irony of Nemesis' statement is that they are now on their third board.

chuckle.

So its true? The predictions, if there be some, from 2006 are true? There really is no board anymore?

steamplow,

there is no need for a new thread, this can be added to the other thread already in progress.

It is technically your third board, too. The original MDD, the "upgraded" MDD (2006), and the "restored" MDD (2011).

As long as there are people worthy of the title, there will be a MAD board. Quasimodo can be my witness on this one. That Rhett guy ran off somewhere.

Updated PHP versions or changing servers is hardly the same as totally revamping a message board with a new graphic interface and a completely different domain name. Once they proved to be an embarrassment for FAIR, they had to distance themselves from the FAIR organization by changing the name from faridboards.org to Mormonapologetics.org. But then they made fools of themselves as a group of apologists too, so they then had to change the name yet again to Mormondialogue.org.

They're already embarrassing themselves on that front as well, as serious "dialogue" really isn't possible when your moderators refuse to accept non-LDS members who do not agree to walk on egg shells and throw out softball questions, while at the same time they ban or suspend people on a daily basis for simply asking questions (consig, Mike Reed, Mortal Man, Droopy, etc). So I guess we can expect a new version of their forum soon, perhaps Mormontyranny.org? That's playing it safe, as I'm sure no one would accuse them of false advertisement.
