Alternatively, are you pretending that it's a valid description of MD&D policy? If so, then you are sadly misinformed.

But that doesn't stop you from spouting.

I have some questions of my own:

Did you ever have a reasonable grip on reality?

Yes, thank you. And I still do.

Kishkumen wrote:When did you start to lose it?

I'll answer that question when you answer this one: when did you stop beating your wife?

Next question: when, if ever, do you plan to start discussing things in good faith?

Kishkumen wrote:Is it completely gone, as this post might suggest?

Not yet.

It's still firmly enough in place to notice certain things.

For example, you offered the following:

"if your posture toward MDB is not sufficiently derogatory, menacing, and paranoid, your post will be deleted and you will be banned."

As if it represented actual MD&D moderating policy.

But the fact is that it does not. At best it represents a caricature of the most extreme mischaracterisations offered by the most embittered ex-participants from that forum.

The thing is, Kish, that at times you show glimpses of actual intelligence. I sometimes wonder whether you really are ignorant and prejudiced enough to believe all the spite that you so happily subscribe to, or if you are merely carrying out your appointed role of "Great Man in Residence" and playing to the susceptibilities of your chosen audience.

So which is it, Kish? Are you a redneck bigot, or an unprincipled panderer?

Aren't you both?

Actually, this is not a new idea. In 1993, the Arizona Republic quoted Elder Dallin Oaks as referring to the infamous Strengthening Church Members Committee as a "clipping service." The folks at MADB stole the name from Elder Oaks.

There's something a little crazy about the idea that anyone would want to create a thread to memorialize all the nasty things that have been said about themselves over the years. Nemesis's new forum might appeal to a few attention-hungry masochists, but I doubt most folks at MDD are foolish enough to participate.

And my continuing concern is that the intent of MADB's "clipping service" is to send information to the Strengthening Church Members Committee to then be forwarded to local leaders for corrective action.

All the Best!

What Consig doesn't realise is that the black helicopters following him around are really from the SCMC. The reason he doesn't realise it is because the letters "SCMC" are stencilled on the side -- in black paint!

I think Elder Oaks may have borrowed this idea for a small clipping service from Lt. Colonel Oliver North, when he used that term in describing the CIAs involvement in Nicaragua. Colonel North took this idea from Homer's description of the wooden horse being left near the gates of Troy as being, "a small clipping service".

Hope that helps.
