That concentration of godly knowledge which changed the world would never have happened if the Bible had lots and lots of competition for the hearts and imaginations of men from antiquity. Then the devil could not turn men away from God until he had furnished enough counter weight aside from the Bible for a new god-mind to supplant Bible thinking with learned thinking and idle entertainment thinking.

God becomes what man thinks about the most. Not the real God but the god that mammon indeed worships is that which they most adore. Man has evolved to adore himself the most. Let's see how the Maker of men will flip this occasion on it head and prove his wisdom greater than the cunning of the devil yet again.

The Holy Mother Church Of Mammon puts to shame the Christian style of evangelical proselyting. Force is used to push the people into her creeds and ordinances to enable people to survive and find gainful employment. Parents insist upon it. Society mandates it. You can hardly buy and sell these days without having bowed the knee and confessed allegiance for the certified right to live and breath the not quite free air.

That's one heck of a sentence. I tried reading it out loud except pausing every few words and really emphasizing other words and I swear I sounded just like Christopher Walken.

I can't get no respect.
I had several ideas to flesh out on this thread if it were engaged.
I mean it's like,
"Ehh! That notion's got legs. SWAT! There I killed it. Creepy little b^$+^&d.

Probably because the humanist here saw a threat. I mean the entirety of scholasticism that arose in the Renaissance humanist movement was a direct counter measure to offset the coming age of the vulgar learning of the masses inevitable after 1450s printing of the Bible.
