We don't have any new mods yet. I think that what Shades is doing is exactly what he stated he'd do and that is if there were multiple volunteers, he would run polls for them.
On one of the earlier threads, I suggested that the moderators should be rotated in cycles (3 months) so that they can avoid any type of burn out and know that when they are "off" they can freely enjoy the board without having to "work" each time they log in.
Even without that type of scheduling, I personally think it would be wise to have more moderators so the burden for moderation is spread around rather than asking a couple or three people to do it all when we know that (right now) all of our moderators work full time and have families.
Visiting this board should be enjoyable for everyone...including the mod team.
