Realizing there's no objective meaning of life is liberating. It frees you up to determine whatever subjective meaning you want every single day.

I think today, the meaning of life is playing golf. Time to fulfill my meaning.

Good stuff.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

I went through that briefly. Now I'm focused on enjoying life. Think about how lucky you are. This life is all we get, so it's all the more precious.

Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.

When I first decided that there were no good arguments for any religion (and become an agnostic atheist) I was ecstatic because it meant all the Mormon doctrines that troubled me were made up, but lately I have become more and more nihilistic. I go through periods like this sometimes, but they usually end fairly quickly...Not this one. Hmm, should stop reading Zapffe.

life's too short to worry too much. I guess I'd say its healthy to trouble your mind to the point of trying to figure it all out, but It seems there's some thin line out there that if crossed can be pretty depressing. Its a calculated trick to come close to the line and not cross it, it seems.

I feel bad. I can't say I understand your position very well. It does sound depressing though.
