Nope.... I've always said that the ban was in place because of the racial discrimination that existed in the world itself.
The ban had nothing to do with the Church being racist, it had to do with the world not being ready for a black man to have the Priesthood. The Priesthood can only be operated upon the principles of righteousness. If blacks had flocked to the Church because it gave the Priesthood to blacks (which would have happened), then the Church likely would have suffered much more than it did.

Once the world started getting serious about racism, then the Church could operate freely.

With respect, I modified one sentence in your post to reflect my position, which I think likely accords more with reality.

Can you explain why blacks didn't "flock to the church" after the ban was lifted?

The priesthood ban was not "lifted," at least not from half the human population.

Funny how people blame God for the cruelty of humans.

Well, actually, not so funny.

Yeah, God had to go along with the primitive inclinations of humans because, well, because.

Using God to justify our own bad actions has always seemed rather blasphemous.

It does seem a bit odd to hear an LDS person say more or less that we didn't get the truth because we were not ready for it. Telling the truth and doing good are part of those immutable principles that Dr. Peterson was talking about.

So the blacks did not get the priesthood because of the consequences the Church would have suffered?

Makes you wonder why God commanded to Joseph Smith to practice polygamy. The Church certainly seems to have suffered because of that.
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."
