I saw myself in Zee's post as well. We both left the church around the same time and we went through a lot of the same things.

What I sensed from zee were emotional currents happening in his life. He has experienced some abrupt changes in his life and he is attempting to navigate his way through them. I may have done things differently if I were him toward extended family and children. But we each have to do it our way and see what happens. I wish him good luck in his future decisions.
