Candidly, being liked or accepted by the other team does make me fear that I'm headed in the wrong direction--or at least the direction away from where my in-group would like me to be.

Then I remember the parable of the Unjust Steward and think maybe it's not such a bad idea after all.

Its certainly a difficult road to travel--having faith in a God that in many ways we can't fathom or seemingly really know. I think you're right though, in a sense. I just think additionally, in a miraculous way, God provides us a way to know things we otherwise would never be able to know.
