How romantic.
"We have taken up arms in defense of our liberty, our property, our wives, and our children; we are determined to preserve them, or die."

Do you have a reference to a historical record of this divorce?
Was he serially 'marrying' and 'divorcing' before 'marrying' the next one, and leaving Emma in 'sacred loneliness' for the duration of each of his other 'marriages'? Since wedding vows typically include foresaking all others for your legally wedded spouse, how did JSJr do in keeping such vows to Emma Smith? Did he divorce her?
I imply nothing. Are you unwilling to answer my questions?
Your question was, given the context, a rhetorical one, as Chap as aptly pointed out. If you are trying to be coy and ask that question for an answer, from what I recall, the COJCOLDS does not teach there is no such thing as divorce. But it discourages divorce, and especially so if the marriage(s) to be ended in divorce are a mere ruse to serially bone a number of different women.
