Nothing that Gad said made the least bit of sense to me. I guess that is a beauty that is lost on me.
You missed his point?? Dang too bad. It was a good one. Maybe you could read it again a second time.
when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie

Intelligence is eternal and cannot be created or made. It can be organized into an independent sphere of existence. If free to chose its own thoughts it can easily choose pride in perfect envy of God. You can do so now. Why could you not do so from the beginning. Stop blaming God. It is stupid. Look at the marvelous universe he made. Everything perfect except man who needs to ramp up in the power of godliness to measure up to the end of our creation.
That fact gives enough flux to freedom to invent plenty of pride and pretense and redefine all things to your liking especially if that liking is absolute confusion.
And for the record. You cannot say God created evil. You can say he did something evil in your judgment. Evil only exist when someone is doing it. It cannot exist of itself. Breathing does not exist unless and until somebody breathes. God created all things. That includes the potentiality of all things. It does not mean he created what that potentiality does. He makes us agents to ourselves.
I admit that God owns responsibility for all that happens as the result of his acts of creation. Therefore Christ is sent into the world to answer the ends of justice. As evil as it gets God pays the price for it and keeps the glory of his creation.
