As I've never known Mormons to object to the translation of the verses you cited, Buffalo, I must assume they believe them to be the word of God. That being the case, it seems to me that what needs defending here is not Jesus, but rather Mormon theology which stands in opposition to His teachings: eternal families, eternal marriage, and the importance those particulars have on salvation.

"Message From Midbar" has been replaced with Bonnie Prince Billy and The Cairo Gang's album version of "That's What Our Love Is" from their The Wonder Show of the World.
