Something official

I could say something worth of Outer Darkness. I am austere.

by the way the document don't say "itself were not doctrine"...

The Church takes no stance on politics other than to officially encourage members to take a stance on politics. Well, in Utah.

Has this letter been sent and read out in the other regions where this caucus thing happens? (or does it only happen in Utah?)

Such a letter from the First Presidency is no doubt intended to ensure that Mitt Romney gets whatever support the State of Utah can muster.

I'm not sure if that's official doctrine. Just because it's signed by the FP and on official church letterhead doesn't necessarily mean it's official. Only BC Space can declare something as official doctrine. Until we hear from him, the jury is still out.

Something similar to this was read to us in 2008 by our bishop over the pulpit. It is what caused me to go to my first caucus ever. I decided to go to the Democratic one instead of the Republican one. I could have gone either way. If I had only known what domino effect that would have on my life... LOL.

Until we see a fax from Carla Ogden, not official.

Doctrine. Letterhead and FP signatures. Carla's request for donuts at the next meeting is only semi-official.

BC,

I'm sure you said this somewhere else, but I'm unaware of it so can you answer something? Why does doctrine require signatures at the bottom?

God: "Alright, let's set in stone the doctrine of the atonement. It is the greatest of doctrines."
Angels: "Hallelujah! Praise be to God on high forever and ever!"
God: "Indeed! It is very good. Oh, don't forget to have two or three guys sign it off."
Angels: "Hallel- wait, what?"
God: "Yeah, I require signatures before my word becomes doctrine." [wink]

Talk about a downer.

BC, does it ever bother you that your religion has been reduced to a series of business and legal transactions?
