Thanks for thinking of me.

I hope you are kidding about this BC, especially after Liz went out of her way on another thread to compliment you on what a good job (she thinks) you do in defending the Church without getting your knickers in a twist and calling people names.
She has also been more than fair to Yahoo Bot, even though I personally think chopping off his toes is a good idea.
But only for starters.

Prior to the need for the Church to revert to revisionist history and politically correct public relations expediency, the First Presidency on more than one occasion issued official statements explaining the reason for the priesthood ban.
Now, the Church has issued an anonymous press release stating that prior official statements by the First Presidency were nothing but speculation.

Anyone else see the hypocrisy in criticizing those who post anonymously when your own Church uses President Newsroom B. Release to issue statements?
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."

What a bunch of anonymous cowards.
Everybody knows who should know where these things come from. Unsigned editorials in Deseret News are attributed to the Editor. Press releases from the Church are attributed to the PR Department, whose director can be determined by a call to the COB. Three GAs are responsible for the PR department and they take their instruction from Q12. And further, an organization's statement are far from anonymous; they are the statement of the organization. My firm has a website that says certain things; it isn't anonymous. It is a self-defining thing.

So...just to be clear...you feel that I should be excommunicated? What, exactly, is my excommunicable offense?
Don't take my little humorless jokes personally. You're a wonderful person and everybody here loves you usually.

How nice to know that your law firm is headed by a living prophet and guided by continuing revelation and inspiration.
In the meantime, the LDS Church sends out diktats about its own substantive teachings through PR statements that no General Authority is willing to put his own name on.
They are hiding behind the organization. Whoever actually writes the press releases is an anonymous coward.
