A short series of questions for the defenders of the faith (Droopy, Bcspace, etc).

1.What is the definition of racial discrimination?

Looking it up on "www.dictionary.com" I get, "discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of another race." Looking up discriminatory at the same site I get, "characterized by or showing prejudicial treatment, especially as an indication of racial, religious, or sexual bias."

The bottom line appears to be that racial discrimination means prejudicial treatment of someone due to that someone's race.

2.Can separate be equal?

In some senses no; in many senses yes. In order to achieve equality across different groups of people, society has rightly struck down many separating barriers, but within reason. For example I am entirely in favor of removing many barriers to gender equality in the workplace, but that doesn't mean women and men should be compelled to use the same restroom.

3. Is separate but not equal inherently discriminatory?

Yes.

4. Is somewhat integrated but not equal inherently discriminatory?

Yes. What's your point?

I'm definitely not innocent, when it comes to racial discrimination. I have myself engaged in my own version of racial discrimination, I admit to my shame. But that was three decades ago; for the last three decades I am not aware of anything I've ever done that could be considered racially discriminatory.
