You have been taught that membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints includes living gospel standards. What do you understand of the following standards? Are you willing to obey them? The Word of Wisdom.
Do you eat meat more than sparingly? Do you eat meat when the weather is warm? Do you eat meat outside of the context of a famine? Do you consume barley drinks? (Hell, yes!!!) Do you drink Pepsi?

Yea, it's too bad that upon Jesus second coming, 1997 I believe, that "the Church" did in fact reject him, just as you surmise.
