LDS Baptism Interview Questions, Pt VI

Post by _sock puppet »

You have been taught that membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints includes living gospel standards. What do you understand of the following standards? Are you willing to obey them?
The Word of Wisdom.

Do you eat meat more than sparingly?
Do you eat meat when the weather is warm?
Do you eat meat outside of the context of a famine?
Do you consume barley drinks? (Hell, yes!!!)
Do you drink Pepsi?

All of them because without obedience to them one cannot be an upper class Mormon receiving access to the Temple which is the only means by which a Mormon can return to live with God.

Today, the Prophet Joseph Smith would not have been eligible for a Temple Reccommend because of his alcohol and tobacco habits.

Today Jesus himself would not be eligible for baptism based on wow compliance, nor could he hold leadership positions in my stake due to his grooming choices.
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

Yea, it's too bad that upon Jesus second coming, 1997 I believe, that "the Church" did in fact reject him, just as you surmise.
