As a life-long democrat, I find the posts by ldsfaqs and bc truly appalling when they tie personal worthiness to political ties. I don't see how one's political affiliations has anything to do with being a "good" Mormon. In fact, I think being a democrat is actually a really good fit for a "good" Mormon.

That creates a problem. Either it means you can be a democrat and a good Mormon, or it means the brethren don't really have the gift of discernment as they called a Mormon who is not in good standing to the 70. Which is it, ldsfaqs?

70 nothing... Try member of the 1st Presidency in the form of James E. Faust.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

Larry did resign from the Obama admin to become a GA, and they never made ETB resign from the Eisenhauer admin. Maybe Larry 'repented' of his liberalness.

I imagine it can be dismissed, that Harry's not, at least, a 'good' Mormon.

Can't. At the same time Reid was denigrating anyone who supported the marriage amendment, the Church had representatives in Washington supporting it. Of course being a Democrat is even more problematic as a Democrat must lie in order to get a TR.

Hehe, don't pick on BC. He's of the opinion that no democrat can be a "good" Mormon. It's a patently ludicrous position, but one he fully supports.

All Mormons lie to get their temple recommend. Lie to the Lord anyways.
He commands that no unclean thing is to enter and that means everyone who has not been visited of the promise of the Father and from God received the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost...............wait for it...........wait for it...........here it comes.......denial!

Mormons do not even know how to get that. But they go on building temples, gawl!
