I already supplied the lex parsimoniae hypothesis for the lack of children. I call it the MOA hypothesis, meaning manual, oral, or anal. a.k.a. anything but vaginal. This is actually an ancient practice in many cultures used to "ensure virtue" eg engaging in sex that will neither rupture the hymen nor produce progeny.
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

Unlike the "sexless dynastic sealings" hypothesis, yours is actually consistent with evidence, as we have testimony from several wives that they had relations with Joseph, and Eliza Snow seemed to think anyone who thought Joseph's marriages were sexless was very naïve.
