Elder Holland, during a Conference talk, held an old Book of Mormon aloft and tearfully (choking back the emotion) told how Hyrum had read from the Book of Mormon whilst journeying to Carthage with Joseph. He proclaimed the book he was holding aloft as the actual Book of Mormon and even indicated a folded over page to identify which scriptures they were reading from at the time.
All very spiritually moving and faith promoting. Holland was very moved by the spirit during this part of his talk.
Inconveniently for Holland, post Conference photo checking by some staunch anti-Mormons showed that it wasn't actually Hyrum's Book of Mormon at all. The Spirit moves in mysterious (deceitful) ways....

Otherwise you are being deceitful, bearing false witness, and potentially becoming a liar. And if you believe in the Book of Mormon then 2 Ne 9:34 teaches you what happens to liars, and it isn't just a gentle push/nudge towards their fate, but a thrust.
My point was simple: not everything that comes from Holland's mouth is from god. Also, he is just a human being who can have a hard time articulating his thoughts at times. Why should I expect perfection of speech from a GA? I am sure that the original apostles had their own difficulties in articulation or in what they said throughout their lives.
I do think that people who pull a paragraph or two from what something has written is also a mischaracterization of someone too.

I can't go back and find the discussion from MAD or from this forum. But it wasn't as bad as the critics made it out to be.

I don't know and I don't care. Everday, the GAs talk to friends and family. They conduct business in the office building etc. Most of their talk isn't from god. Just everyday chatter. They also have their own opinions about many issues pertaining to life and church. Such is life.

The member's task is only to decide if which it is. Words of god or words of nobody.

Can You not decide? Can any member decide?
