Does God need a better coach?

Post by _Dantana »

And maybe just stick to front office/owner business. It seems he just keeps putting in the wrong players.
He creates the earth with all good intent, to go about the business of his fathers.....winnowing souls, but allows an inferior soul (Cain) to muck up the works.
He sees his mistake, and decides to start over.....drowns everyone, picks a new fav, but then allows another bonehead (Ham) in the game. (that is I guess if one considers seeing ones father passed out drunk naked cause for having an entire race cursed.- Gen 9, 25)
He tries again with Mr. Moriancumer, to bring some select few to a secret land, but alas, a bad guy musta got on the boat as they apparently.....annihilated each other.
Lehi- Laman, lemual.....same story.
J. Smith- Cowdrey, Harris, Law, etc.

I seems like if god wants to get a chosen people off on a good start he should try putting some A-listers in during the first inning.

There must needs be opposition in all things.

The fine tuning though is the sticky part for me. Opposition, but not too much. Evidence, but not too much. Sent to the all, yet geared to the one.
Just saying, God seems to be picking his chosen folks: Noahites, Isrealites, Jaredites, Lehites, Christians, Mormons....While seemingly ignoring the rest of the world. It just seems like he would give these elites a better shot by not sabotaging them immediately.....causing their cause to wane and fail. I mean, what was gained by Lehi's run? A few centuries of elites in a promised land? What's become of it? What was gained over say.....leaving them where they were?

True, but at the moment the Opposition is whitewashing Gods team.
