my wife and I just came from a study group at Greg Prince's home in Potomac Md.
Center stage was a presentation by Robert Rees on a soon to be released work by USU -work by Gerry Bradford , John Dehlin etal.
Since the work may not have yet been formally published ,at least that is my understanding, (John D. may want to comment on its release),, I will only say it is groundbreaking in the since that about 1600 self identified LDS LBGT worldwide answered a very comprehensive questionnaire concerning such things as when they became aware of their SSA, when did they 'come out", what type of reactions did they get from family, work, church; how did they try to address their SSA, eg diligently sought self roghteousness, went into counselling, sought support etc, what is their calling and standing in the church presently.
From reactions at the meeting including responses from gays present, this research needs to get out into the LDS world because it provides insights about LDS LBGT's and how they themselves view and understand their "position" in the LDS community. All of which should lead to better understanding for the LDS community as whole.
Rees indicated this was the first time a large number of LDS LGBT had ever been surveyed.
I hope John can provide details as i am hesitant because the study may not have been released.

When I was a Counselor in a Bishopric we had a book
When I was a Counselor in a Bishopric we had a book in the Bishop's office bookshelf titled "You Don't Have to Be Gay" which our Bishop would use to counsel people who came in to see him with concerns that they might have same sex attraction (SSA) or have ever committed such an offense.
I just saw this book on Amazon.

Just ran across this and thought it might be of interest, although not directly related to the OP.

Degaston,
Is there a book out there entitled, "You don't have to be heterosexual?"
