Bradford may not have a good defense to fire someone by email and then have this email leaked to antimormons. And this is the problem. He should have never fired Dan by email when he was out of the country.
Why should you condone this kind of behavior?
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world. Joseph Smith We are “to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to provide for the widow, to dry up the tear of the orphan, to comfort the afflicted, whether in this church, or in any other, or in no church at all…” Joseph Smith

It's also quite possible that this is evidence that Bradford is a more sensible administrator than his attackers are willing to admit.
No one should be fired by email. It is a terrible way to fire someone. And it certainly should not have happened in a church organization. If I were above Bradford I would be angry that Dan's dismissal was done in this way. And I may consider dismissing him for treating a church member is such a fashion, especially a professor at BYU.

I'm not sure what kind of behavior you think I am condoning. I don't believe that anything I said could be reasonably construed as (in general) condoning firing someone by email, though I do think that there may be circumstances in which this is not only acceptable but also wise.
And are you really stating that Bradford "[had] this email leaked to antimormons" - that is, it was a deliberate move on his part?

You are never going to get through to whyme. He really is simple minded and can't connect dots.
But have it!

I can't believe that I really took why me off ignore to have this "discussion" - I guess I'll never learn.
When he's so definite about so many things I wish he'd be clear about this one.
ETA: On second thoughts, I realise that he is clear enough - why me, I apologise, you are coming out and saying that Bradford deliberately arranged for the email(s) to be leaked. What else could you possibly mean?

I have him on ignore, even though, or perhaps because, he seems to chase after my posts. He doesn't bother me anymore, even though he seems to bother others who don't have him on ignore. JUST IGNORE HIM!! He doesn't know who he is.

He wasn't fired idiot, he resigned because he didn't want to come to the realization that he was just an employee and not the boss. Bradford changed Dan's role within the Institution he didn't "fire" him, which is something worth pointing out. Getting fired means you're no longer a paid employee of the organization, and that only happened after Dan's tantrum driven resignation.

ROFL Tator for obvious reasons I always enjoy your insights. It seems lately the Mormon brain cell is dominating. I just hope the catholic one still let's him enjoy some wine.
