You know, it's funny how I had some hope at first that our friends might be more liberal. There was a second or two at the beginning of our conversation where I actually started to doubt whether a couple of them were wearing garments. In my fantastical mind, I was thinking, "Hey, maybe they found some of the crazy history and become much more relaxed! Maybe they will sympathize with us! Finally some old friends from college to really talk to."

Nope.
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

To which he replied that we didn't know how tithing funds were dispersed. I started to get out of my briefcase the financial accounts for the Church in the UK and he blushed and said that we didn't have time and he had another interview. I said that's funny because my Dad (the exec sec) had told me I was his last appointment. He blushed and said he meant he had to go somewhere else.

TBM's are definitely scared of hearing the truth.

In a galaxy far far away (when I was investigator for six years - Guinness, I think) there was a new member. New, because he and his family arrived to home from Germany. On the other hand, they were members since decades.
During break before EQ hour - when he learned I was not a member - I've taken a note about no horses in Americas. He asked where I did read, I answered I didn't know but could look up.
The end of the talk was he would see after, then we could return to the topic.

I am certain he really searched it, and found something. From this time on, he has never fallen into conversation with me. Avoided to see eye to eye, sat the other end of the table.
In Hungary, the available sources are clean-cut about horses in Americas. And he could make sure these materials are neutral, they are not anti-mormon, they have nothing to do with Mormonism.

And I became leprous for him - because I did mention the horses.
