More published accounts on David Twede

Post by _Philidel »

I notice the story in Reuters does not lead with Twede's criticism of Romney as the primary reason for the court. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/09/ ... 1220120923

I point this out because the discussions here and else where seem to be driven by the issue of whether Twede was disingenuous in his account to the Daily Beast reporter. Whatever his original story, and whatever his motive or the motives the church leaders who initiated this action, the point now is that it is all over the net. Which can't be good news for either Romney or the church. It seems to me very bad timing to have initiated these proceeding at this particular time. The comments of JohnL (who has acknowledged that he is John Lynch of FAIR) and another TBM poster at The Daily Beast only make matters worse.

At PoliticsUSA http://www.politicususa.com/president-m ... ution.html they're exploring the issue in Twede's post that apparently turned the spotlight on him, ie, the potential impact of his beliefs on his potential Presidency. Again, it's moot to argue about his motives what he said to the first reporter. The door was opened.

And here http://skydancingblog.com/tag/david-twede/ the issue of the church's claimed neutrality is discussed.

Very bad timing for inviting Twedes to a disciplinary court, if one assumes the leaders want Romney elected. Thanks, Scott Gordon.
