So there you have it. When I attempted to walk on water because I felt I needed to in order to demonstrate to myself that I actually believed such things could work, I was just childishly sign-seeking. When I attempted to heal that woman on my mission by commanding her to be whole I was apparently just childishly sign-seeking, didn't understand how the priesthood is supposed to function, wasn't acting according to the way the scriptures really say the priesthood is to be used, etc. It's all my fault that that blessing didn't work. It couldn't be that the "priesthood power" is really a sham.

Kemara must be new to the board since my banning.

But it is really just the same old tripe.

When anything is wrong with the Mormon Church or its programs, or whenver anything doesn't go the way it is "supposed" to go per Mormon dogma, the fault is yours.

I am going to take a wild guess that in all that lecturing, Kemara didn't actually tell you the correct mechanics of priesthood power.

He certainly didn't. I'm sure he knows I could never understand it correctly, because I didn't read the scriptures as much as him, pray as hard as him, pay my tithing as faithfully as him, and in every other way get it all figured out as thoroughly as him.

That's the thing about these apologists. Nobody seems to "get it" like they do. That's why we have prophets like BCSpace who defend Mormonism, but when pressed, teach a version of Mormonism that apparently they are the only ones smart enough to understand properly.

Once again the idea that using the Priesthood to heal is sign seeking is patently absurd in toto..... it is because the church appears to me to be vastly more invested and interested in public image that it has foregone ANY kinds of use of the Priesthood for actual healing and instead simply gives blessings of comfort. The priesthood blessing certainly did nothing for my wife, while science in the hospital saved her life. Now then about science and religion being compatible.....hmmmmmm.........
And anyone who lamely trots out the sign seeking silliness needs to SERIOUSLY read the Gospel of John where Jesus actually was said (remember folks we are talking stories here not actual event occurring history) to deliberately go out of his way to SHOW he was the Messiah THROUGH the miracles and signs. And did not Yahweh THUNDER from high on the mountain in full view of the entire country for them to SEE God's power? Those who use the sign seeking excuse and reasoning obviously are covering for the lack of actual Priesthood. It's that simple.
