Joseph Smith's White Horse Prophecy

I'll be interested in Nightlion's take on this, but I don't put much faith in it. It is the recollection of one man and the whole thing sounds very unlike Joseph Smith. If there were several references by different people or various accounts by Joseph Smith where he had stated this in different versions, I'd be much more interested.

Do you hold this evidentiary standard (several references by different people) for all the things that you choose to believe?

If you are looking for various accounts by Joseph Smith where he had stated...different versions, then I suggest you start a thread about the First Vision, or Polygamy, or....

Having read through it again I am still pondering which way I may conclude about it.
He made one saving "tell" saying that after all the problems even after the worst of it then:

In these days which are yet to come God
will set up a Kingdom never to be thrown down, but
other Kingdoms to come into it, (fifth paragraph)

This allows for agreement with other scripture and I may reconsider the virtue of the prophecy.
Since this yet to come kingdom CANNOT be the LDS Church but the promised stone cut out of the mountain without hands. Yea!

I do not see a problem that he called the Russian leader a Czar either. Russia will always be led by a strong man. That is just in their nature.

3 Nephi tells of the remnant going through and treading down and tearing to pieces that none can deliver among the Gentiles who reject the gospel and sin against it in arrogant apostasy filled with all manner of secret abominations. (that's now)

Seems like this text is still not complete. Something about the rails rusting in their tracks. Must be from something else.
