What exactly is a food war?
My advanced reading skills suggest that given the way noun apposition functions in English, a "food war" might be ..... a war about food!
Far out, I know, but it just might be true.
Zadok: I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis. Maksutov: That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
THis is nothing about the signs of the last days, it is just more spatting going on with people who don't know how to get along. The Biblical picture of a second coming is a later interpretation which arose because Jesus failed to reappear in that day as he promised, and they desperately had to come up with something to answer the strident question of WHEN?!? It didn't happen then, it isn't going to happen now. Jesus is, at best, a failed apocalyptic prophet. The entire second coming interpretation is a canard hoisted upon the petard of gullibility of people.

People worry about water, people worry about energy, people worry about many things. California shut down major sections of farm land because the farms were using water. The water it seems had to be left in some rivers so it could flow to the sea. A small fish called the delta smelt was deemed more important than people. Multiply this kind of stupidity around the world and you get a drop in food production. This in the face of a growing population. People will always agree with feel good programs because they make you feel good. But those same people when they begin to starve will do anything to eat. Some countries in the last few years stopped exporting food. The countries were worried that food was too short in supply. But all of this is but the tip of the approaching iceberg. We currently have wars over energy. Just add water and food to the list. But if the sun goes dormant like it looks to be doing we are in for some major climate change. If the earth does get cold then we could have a 50% reduction in food production. In some areas 100% reduction. Look up Maunder minimum if your interested. It may last 50 years. I actually hope for global warming.
I think food wars means that Hostess most certainly will stop making Twinkies. Now, there is a disaster. What are we going to eat when World War 3 arrives?

I find it amazing that 18,000 people will vote them self out of a job. And then blame the company for being greedy. Of course the media went nuts trying to show the poor union being abused by the evil corporate types. I wish them luck finding new jobs. I suspect they will find work making far less than what they rejected. The world is filled with this kind of attitude. It makes for a world wide battlefield in a few years.
