Quinn books in digital format

Post by _iamse7en »

So, I'm a huge fan of Quinn's books/articles. Very honest (in both the miraculous and the human elements) and scholarly approach to LDS history/doctrine. I try to collect all of his best articles and books because I find myself referencing back to them ALL THE TIME. I have bought hard copies of Magic World View, Origins, and Extensions. I also bought Signature Books' New Mormon Studies CD, which amazingly has PDF/digital format of Magic World View and Origins (and thousands of others - a must-buy for anyone interested in LDS studies). I use them all the time for remembering/looking up certain topics. I do the same with his [in]famous articles, which are widely available across the net.

Sadly, however, I do not have a digital version of Extensions of Power. Does anyone have a copy or know where I can get (or purchase) a copy? I would be so grateful as it's just another resource I would kill (Laban-style) to have in digital format, because it's so much easier to reference back to. Thanks!

I have searched high and low and don't believe "Extensions" has made it into digital format. Maybe Devery will get to it one of these days?

I have been reading a book in digital format, and the footnotes are at the end of each chapter. It makes it difficult to connect footnote to text. I just got the same book in paper, and the footnotes are at the bottom of each page. Much easier.

Signature usually (always?) has end-notes (usually half the book  ) Do their electronic books also have an endnote rather than footnote format? Or do they have endnotes in a separate file?

Which is the way God wants it.

Death to the Endnote!
"And the human knew the source of life, the woman of him, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, 'I have procreated a man with Yahweh.'" Gen. 4:1, interior quote translated by D. Bokovoy.

Somehow the PDF format for ereaders needs improvement but it needs to adjust to a reader's font selection. Academic works in a kindle are hopeless. I hate relying on them for my publications.
