How about a list of what hits and other balls exist.

Maybe it's a wild-pitch strikeout where the batter reached first.

That's a new one to me. Ok, then how about your list of straight out:

1. first base hits
2. two base hits
3. three base hits
4. home runs.

Or more simply

1. a list of anything not a strike or a ball.

It happens when the batter strikes out, but the pitch gets past the catcher. If the batter reaches first base before the throw, he's safe, even though the pitcher gets credit for a strikeout.

The church may get a hit once in a while among all the strikes but mostly I see foul balls.

Sometimes, as with the priesthood ban and the "policy change," it's an HBP.

No to derail, but I'd be remiss to not acknowledge the warm welcome. Thanks everyone. Good to see so many of you.

As long as you don't start throwing any elbows, you will do just fine.

That's discouraging. Throwing elbows is my name sake.

Choyo Chagas is Chairman of the Big Four, the ruler of the planet from "The Bull's Hour" ( Russian: Час Быка), a social science fiction novel written by Soviet author and paleontologist Ivan Yefremov in 1968.
Six months after its publication Soviet authorities banned the book and attempted to remove it from libraries and bookshops.
