Awesome Introduction to Joseph Smith's Council of 50

Now then, a little preface. I inherited this book on the death of my father who owned it.

This video, obviously a VERY Mormon production, is actually a decent introduction to the volume. Had I not had it, I WOULD have wanted it based on this video's positive assessment, which is accurate... up to a point. It is that point which they do not even mention, and the over simplification of the government issue which makes the volume a MUST HAVE in my opinion. The Mormons will Morm, and oh how they love to present Joseph Smith in the very best positive light possible!
The interaction and REASON for the Prophet and early Mormons not trusting the Federal government., and HOW they went about solving the problems are *ignored* in this video intro., but NOT in the volume! It is set out very clearly, and is positively *damning* which explains why the video producers and participants simply will not broach the subject, which, in my way of thinking, is the absolutely BEST reason to get the book! But it is not favorable to Smith or the Brethren at all. The video producers are doing apologetics with all the sumptuous settings of production to make our bosom burn with testimony, to be sure, you can safely ignore that. What they say is actually true though about what we learn of Joseph Smith, councils, and the early Mormon leaders. They just don't take it to the obvious conclusion since they refuse to give the full details, but hint there are some shocking things in it. I should say so!

I broached this subject in my Mark Twain lives Sunday Fireside session last Sunday, which led into this volume, which I only gave a little bit of commentary since I was almost out of time. This coming up Sunday I will extensively read from the very minutes of the council, and we will plainly see, and KNOW why all the secrecy. They were being traitors to the Constitution of the United States, and they knew it. The evidence is very plain in the minutes. The video producers of this introduction left out the singular most disturbing thing about this entire council, and probably rightly so, since they were bent on selling it to Mormons without spooking them off. If any testimonies were going to be shaken, all the good stuff they emphasized was hopefully going to overwhelm the shaken testimony of readers. It did not strengthen mine however. I was not shocked, I was mortified how they systematically was undoing the Constitution and Bill of Rights. They were agreeing to deliberately lie about their ultimate conception AND implementing it world wide, since they had no choice. Only later once the fat fish was on the hook securely could they lower the boom and enslave all others into this ultimate Mormonism on out of control steroids of pure power and influence and wealth enough to do it their way and their way alone.

It is so fascinating! This is, as the producers note, not your typical Sunday School or church teaching whether in discussion or print. This is the stuff they hid from you! The producers admit it, though not in those words. Other than that, it is a good intro for the typical Mormon. In my analysis of my live sessions, I am, of course including the entire gambit, all the concepts, and the ultimate goals and ways they sought to achieve those goals. Because the council got "leaky" it is no surprise at all, and was a foregone conclusion that Joseph was going to get killed. Their oaths of strict secrecy of their secret combinations for dominion and power could not be kept water tight, and it led to Joseph Smith getting killed. It now makes much better sense to me than ever before, and in historic context, which just has to be making Mormonism squirm, though they have, finally true to their word, produced the entire thing, amazingly enough!!!

Come join me this coming up Sunday for the ultimate discussion and fullest context, goals, and methods Joseph Smith was up to in order to take over the world. This is not a joke, his religious rhetoric is what enthralls the producers of this video. His religious rhetoric was what hid their ultimate plan, which DOES SLIP OUT IN THE MINUTES, and it becomes OBVIOUS. It still just blows my mind...

Do you suppose that Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon wanted to assume the highest office of the land and then usurp power over Congress to make new laws to suit Mormon ambition and control over the whole of the country? Do you think Smith in his cunning and lying ways planned that? Did he want absolute power over everyone, everywhere?

Had Smith become President of the United States there would have been a bloody civil war and ultimately a bloody coup to remove the bastard from the Capitol.

Yeah, I was going to say that they were Trumpin’ before Trump. Of course, Sidney Rigdon was a brain-damaged loon by that point in time. And, it is not like the system had been that friendly to the Mormons. It is easy to condemn this, but the country was still young, and there were lots of people out there with fringe ideas they tried to implement. I am glad that they failed, however.
