As I drove up to the MTC in Provo from Southern California in the fall of 1980 to get ready to preach the gospel, I drove pass the Mountain Meadows Massacre site which remained all most barren, and as I understood many years later, human bones could still be found.
A complete failure of Utah Law Enforcement to establish it as a crime scene and collected evidence as they drove around the area enforcing traffic laws.
And those at BYU were looking for human remains in another hemisphere.
What times we live in.

A backhoe unearthed several victims back when Levitt was governor. A team was sent down to catalog and study the injuries. They knew time was limited because Leavitt ordered the remains to be reburied. Leavitt is a direct ancestor of people involved. There was a paper written about the injuries that is available by Shannon Novak and the day by day analysis can be read here. https://www.cesnur.org/testi/morm_01.htm

Rivendale, thank you very much for the information. Thank you.
It’s likely obstruction of justice for those with the hoes and the governor could not be brought forward today, So crimes that were so, so sick got buried with the bones.
The FBI should go out and put yellow tape around a five mile area.

That's so long ago that even the killer's names are no longer on the LDS active membership rolls.yellowstone123 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2023 1:04 pmA complete failure of Utah Law Enforcement to establish it as a crime scene and collected evidence as they drove around the area enforcing traffic laws.
