Re: Conference Predictions Here!
Most Mormons will take the weekend off to do something much more fun together, and catch up on Conference content in bite-sized chunks in the following weeks once they are on the Church website.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

I will forget there was ever such a thing as general conference except when I read this thread.

4. More than one eye witness increases likelihood that testimony is true if the testimony is corroborated by the other witnesses. More so than if the testimony relies on one eyewitness. Over time if the corroboration remains intact the testimony becomes even more reliable.I Have Questions wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 9:05 amMost Mormons will take the weekend off to do something much more fun together, and catch up on Conference content in bite-sized chunks in the following weeks once they are on the Church website.

At least that’s the way I see it in this instance of the three Book of Mormon witnesses.

Looking at the FP as they left a conference session, someone remarked to me that it seems cruel to these old men to not allow them to "retire" while they likely still have some years of good health to spend time with family, etc.Philo Sofee wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2024 5:39 pmIt can't succeed, they keep putting in the oldest ding-a-ling they have imagining that makes them more true or something......
It's conceivable that, without some such change, within a few years there will be a situation in which all 3 members of the FP, and the president of the Q12, will be effectively incapacitated.
Of course, as an apostate I should not worry - the faithful know that god's ways are not man's ways, and all is, and will continue to be, well in Zion.

They will still have younger men in Kirton McConkie and most importantly, the accountants in the Presiding Bishops Office. The Presiding Bishop will control the billions and Kirton McConkie can draft new proclamations and revelations around the board table.malkie wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2024 6:06 pmIt's conceivable that, without some such change, within a few years there will be a situation in which all 3 members of the FP, and the president of the Q12, will be effectively incapacitated.
