Thank you Mag’ladroth for the information. I need to ask: did this conspiracy bring indictments, were there any convictions and was any individual in Scientology sentenced to prison or did they agree on a settlement.

I would say this is nothing compared to 1850, 7 years before the Mountain Meadows Massacre, when Brigham Young gave an order that certain ingenious tribes were to be eliminated. There was the Battle at Fort Utah incident where Mormon men attacked a local tribe, executed the men and then cut some of the deceased heads off and put them in certain spots before the the prisoners, women and children who were captured, and who later were sold as slaves to local Mormon population.

Are there some 'hard things' in Mormonism? Sure. But I think that most sound minded people would agree that Scientology is really cultish. Not NEAR as many would say that about their Mormon neighbors down the street.

That's because Mormons pretend to a normal life, keep their neighbors eyes away from what bizarre activities go on in the Mormon temple, etc,, while Scientology is more transparent and revealed in society. But try again; it's fun batting away at all the home-run pitches you throw.

Correction: If you weren't pretending, and were actually reading the Book of Mormon 1/2 a day as you've been commanded to, then it would be exhausting. It's much easier to say "all is well in Zion" and do that which you see fit in your own eyes.

Along with Wang making and issue of senior missions we now have you making an issue of Book of Mormon reading. Is it a commandment? Is there a certain amount of time that members are supposed to study each day or they stand condemned before the Lord?

Promises are given for daily study of the Book of Mormon.

Commandment? Chapter and verse? I'm not saying that reading the Book of Mormon isn't important...I believe it is. But I think we are encouraged to find a practice/habit that fits us and then stick to it.

I think that that if a person isn't serious about the Book of Mormon and doesn't read it consistently they are more likely to fall prey to the ways of the world and worldly philosophies.

No better reason than that to $hitcan every copy of the Book of Mormon, avoiding possible indoctrination via it and instead embrace science (knowledge) and reason.
